New Pictures of the Girls

Lilly Turns 5 & Valentine's

Lilly turned 5 on February 1st.
We had a friend/ family birthday party for Lil' at a local kid's gym.

Everyone found something to do...the men had more fun than the kids I think.
 Opening presents.
On her way to school for her birthday. Lilly is a true peacemaker and her love for others seems to be infinite. She shares, considers other people's feelings, and is always respectful. She is creative, happy, fashionable, eats her vegetables, is particular about her socks, loves going to school, is very smart, takes jazz and ballet this year, has started taking tennis, loves going to church (yes, all 3 hours), has many friends, makes her bed, loves to play with her sister, is artistic, and is a great buddy to her mom. Love you Lil'!

 HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!
We made old school valentines this year from scratch. Construction paper, stickers, markers, glitter, glue, and personalized love messages.
Lilly would tell me what she wanted to write to each of her friends and then she would sign her name. Toward the end though, she was signing "Love, Lilly" all by herself.
 Sweet Valentines
Paisley's birthday is the day after Lil's so we had fun with all the cake and presents!

Sweetness!

Ready for church on Sunday! Leaving the house is a task. Megan has to get her purse and as much stuff as she can to take with her. What a hoot!

Helping Dad cook some lunch.

Lilly's First Dance Performance

Starting position

So Lilly's dance group performed at the ISU Bengal Dance Send Off. They were number 19 in the program. Lilly sat and watched while all these high school aged girls danced and performed. I was worried she would become intimidated and not want to go out in front of all those people. When her time came, she walked out with her head held high and was just about walking on air. I haven't seen her practice this dance this well ever! She went all out and I was so proud!!

Her #1 Fan!

The peanut gallery. Thanks also to Aunt Leslie and Aunt Stacy and Grandma for coming to support Lilly!

Thanksgiving 2009

Lilly's preschool had a Thanksgiving feast and they all brought foods to share. Isn't she a cute little injun?

They always have their little parties at the end of the day and invite their siblings to participate.

Meg wasn't into it.

We celebrated Thanksgiving day in Preston with the Hulls! Lilly learned how to make the famous cornbread stuffing.

Everyone cooking!

Nana helped the girls decorate their own little table and let them drink their punch out of her itty bitty glass stemware. (very special) They had fun clinking and saying "cheers!"

It was fun hanging out with Cordy and my parents. They live an hour away and we just don't see them enough!

The same facial expression on all of them. One word: Pie.
The Saturday after Thanksgiving we left the kids with my parents and went to the BYU UTAH game at BYU stadium.

Nate's friend Bret scored us the tickets and even took the boys down on the field before the game. They helped make the tunnel too. Nate was glowing when they came back to our seats.

After the cougars won... everyone rushed onto the field. It really was one of the crazier things I've ever witnessed.

These two try to make Christmas Eve special and memorable. Thanks!

and sadly, this is the only picture I have from Christmas Morning/Day. OOps! Needless to say, they were spoiled to the point Nate wanted to puke and Megan really couldn't process it all. It was nice to spend the day together.

Megum turns 2!

So, with her birthday being only 5 days prior to Christmas, I'm afraid she might be set up for disappointment  and the short end of the stick for the rest of forever.... but she is only two and luckily hasn't caught on yet. Her b-day fell on a Sunday so here she is eating her mashed potatoes and gravy lunch after church. (she looks real disappointed huh?)

Honestly, I can't remember exactly when we had the party, a day before or after, anyway, Meg picked out Mickey Mouse party paraphanalia and G-ma and G-pa Merrill were kind enough to let us use their house!

 Meg loves her Grumpa!

Opening gifts.... and again, if my husband continues to pull ridiculous faces, I will continue posting them.  : )

Below: All the cousins liked the mickey mouse ears and blowers and all were happy to pose for a picture, with the exception of, you know who....

Knowing that the birthday girl doesn't like cake or ice cream, we decided to have warm cookies and cold milk! Among her favorite things, cookies are definitely on the list.
