Merrill Memorial Memories 2009

The Merrills hitched up their camp trailers and headed out to meet nature in Island Park for Memorial. Cliff and Patti celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary while we were gone which was really great. They won the 'Cutest Camper Couple' Award.
Nate won the 'Sickliest Camper' Award. He had a sinus infection and finally decided to use Patti's neti pot. This is what came out!!! Yuck!

Launching Meg in the air.
Parker having a fit in the pool. I don't know why I laugh every time I see this picture. He cracks me up.

Zach and Jessica- They win the 'Cuddliest Camper Couple' Award. They just couldn't keep their hands off each other.

Tandi painting her birdhouse. Tandi and Piper share the 'Sassiest Camper' Award. Oh boy, they are a couple of independent chicks!

The girls playing pet shops.

Four wheelin'

I brought these super cute wooden birdhouses for the kiddos to paint.

This little girl wins the camper award for 'Most Explorative'. She would just walk off over the hill. We were all constantly keeping an eye out for her.

A Little Something of Everything

We visited Preston this week and took a wagon ride to see Grandma Marian, the kitty cats, and the goats. Meg freaked when the goat started nibbling her sweater but Lil couldn't get enough of them. The cats were the same way, Meg didn't mind looking, but didn't want to touch. Walking away from them, Lilly asked me to get her a "little itty bitty kitty". "Wouldn't that be fun mom?!"

Did I mention we got the girls some baby chicks to play with over Easter?
Yeah, well, they were fun for like a minute and then they started pooping, and dying, and needless to say, we are not chicken people. Lil loved them and Meg loved poking their eyes. The surviving chicks were donated to our neighbor that raises chickens. Good riddance!

Last Saturday we got a box full of fun Easter goodies for the girls. I got it out of the mailbox and let them open it outside. Thank you Aunt Debbie and Emily for thinking of them! Meg loves the mini cadbury eggs with the hard shell and Lilly is still 'saving' her humongous lollipop for later.

This last picture is of Lilly's craft project last week. It was rainy and windy one day so we bought some toll paint and a birdhouse. She was pretty proud of it too.

Lovin' the Easter.

The girls at the Cottonwood Cove Egg Hunt. They were lucky enough to egg hunt all weekend. Meg seemed to figured it out when she realized what was IN the eggs. Lilly now thinks furry bunny ears are the coolest accessory EVER, Megan has been carrying her basket in the crook of her arm for days now and Nate has gained 4 pounds this week- ha! What a wonderful week!

E. Bunny hid eggs downstairs for the girls to find.- Lil' loved that.
Emptying out the candy, stickers, and money was fun too.

A certain Mr. E. Bunny visited the house with Barbie, My Little Pony, and a crap load of crap for the girls. Lilly loves her new Nintendo DS from Nana and Papa. Can you say spoiled?

"How 'bout like this Mom?"

No pics of Meg in her dress due to an inconvienient naptime.

Sunny St.George

yeah, I didn't want to make you wait til the end of my post to see the picture of the week....

so, when we heard Nate's cousin Todd was getting hitched in St.George, we had to literally, hold ourselves back from leaving a week too early. I think everyone was itching to get out of this cold, wet weather. Thanks to Heath's uncle Ryan for letting us stay at their super nice condo. Nate golfed a couple rounds and went off roading with his cousin David. I shopped (duh), the kids played outside, went swimming, and seemed happy to be wearing summer clothes.

The weather was in the low 80's. The kids lunched at the park one day and played barefoot on the playground.

Meg couldn't get enough of the slide.

After the wedding, we took the kiddies swimming.

Lilly and Marley were inseparable.

Megan would start laughing nervously when I would stand her up and start counting.

The Briscoe family at the temple.

Grandkids- it is noticeably harder to get a decent picture as we keep having more kids.
